Arrive Kathmandu (1,400m)

Airport pickup, hotel check-in, trip briefing and gear check. Welcome dinner with your trekking team. Explore Thamel area if time permits.

Fly Kathmandu β†’ Lukla (2,860m), Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

Scenic 35-minute mountain flight to Lukla β€” one of the world's most thrilling airport landings. Begin trek through Sherpa villages and pine forests along the Dudh Koshi river to Phakding. Trek: 3-4 hrs.

Phakding β†’ Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Cross suspension bridges over deep gorges, enter Sagarmatha National Park. Steep climb to Namche Bazaar β€” the bustling Sherpa capital with your first view of Everest. Trek: 5-6 hrs.

Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Essential rest day. Hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for stunning panorama of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and Namche market. Day hike: 3-4 hrs.

Namche β†’ Tengboche (3,867m)

Descend to the Dudh Koshi river and climb through rhododendron forests to Tengboche β€” home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu. Attend the evening prayer ceremony. Spectacular views of Ama Dablam. Trek: 5-6 hrs.

Tengboche β†’ Dingboche (4,410m)

Descend through forest to Pangboche village, cross the Imja Khola river, and climb gradually to Dingboche β€” a yak farming settlement in a wide valley surrounded by towering peaks. Trek: 5-6 hrs.

Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Day hike to Nagarjun Hill (5,100m) for panoramic views of Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Rest and hydrate well for the high altitude days ahead. Day hike: 3-4 hrs.

Dingboche β†’ Lobuche (4,940m)

Trek past the Thukla memorial (stone cairns honoring climbers who died on Everest) and ascend to Lobuche on the Khumbu Glacier's lateral moraine. Trek: 4-5 hrs.

Lobuche β†’ Gorak Shep (5,170m) β†’ Everest Base Camp (5,364m)

Trek across the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep, drop bags, then continue to Everest Base Camp. Stand where legendary mountaineers begin their Everest summit attempts. See the Khumbu Icefall up close. Return to Gorak Shep. Trek: 7-8 hrs.

Gorak Shep β†’ Kala Patthar (5,545m) β†’ Pheriche (4,280m)

Pre-dawn hike to Kala Patthar for the most iconic sunrise panorama in the Himalayas β€” Everest, Nuptse, Changtse, and Pumori glow golden. Descend all the way to Pheriche. Trek: 7-8 hrs.

D11

Pheriche β†’ Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Retrace steps through Tengboche and down to Namche. The descent feels easier and the trail now feels familiar. Last night in the Sherpa capital. Trek: 6-7 hrs.

D12

Namche β†’ Lukla (2,860m)

Final trekking day descending through the forest and crossing the suspension bridges back to Lukla. Celebrate with your guide and porters at a farewell dinner. Trek: 5-6 hrs.

D13

Fly Lukla β†’ Kathmandu

Morning flight back to Kathmandu (weather permitting β€” buffer day built in). Transfer to hotel. Free afternoon for shopping or relaxation. Optional: visit Kathmandu Durbar Square.

D14

Departure Day / Buffer Day

Airport transfer for your international flight. This day also serves as a Lukla flight weather buffer. If the Day 13 flight is delayed, today is the backup. Extra Kathamdu night if not needed.
