Indian nationals do NOT need a visa under the Nepal-India friendship treaty. Valid documents: Indian Passport, Voter ID, or Aadhaar Card.

Visa Extension
Extend at Department of Immigration in Kathmandu/Pokhara. Fee: $3/day. Max stay: 150 days/year.
SAARC Countries — Free Visa
Citizens of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka get free 30-day visas. Chinese citizens also free.
Trekking Permits
- TIMS Card — NPR 2,000 for organized treks
- National Park Permit — NPR 3,000 (Sagarmatha, Annapurna)
- Restricted Area Permit — $500+ (Upper Mustang, Dolpo)
